Founder's Associate Intern

Berlin
Full or part-time
Intern / Student

About us:

At Finoa, we are on a mission to enable institutions and individuals globally to migrate their capital into the onchain economy. We are actively engineering the platform that makes this possible.

We believe great products are built by people who are eager to leave their mark on the world. We are looking for ambitious, curious, and hard-working individuals who want to learn quickly, take ownership, and help us grow in a fast-moving market.

If you are excited by fintech, digital assets, AI, and the future of institutional finance, we would love to hear from you.

Your mission:

As a Founder's Associate Intern, you will sit in the CEO office and work directly with senior leadership on high-priority initiatives across Growth, Operations, Finance, and beyond. You will own workstreams, conduct research, build lightweight tools and workflows, and contribute directly to how the company operates.

A key part of this role is using AI and automation to make the team faster. You will identify where manual or repetitive work can be replaced by smarter systems, and then help build and implement those solutions.

In this role, you will:

  • Build AI and automation workflows

    • Identify high-friction, repetitive, or manual processes across functions and design solutions to address them. Use tools such as n8n, LLMs, research agents, and automation platforms to increase output, reduce manual work, and make repeatable processes more scalable. Document what you build so others can use and maintain it.

  • Coordinate and track strategic initiatives

    • Help the CEO office maintain visibility across active priorities. Track progress, flag blockers, chase updates, and make sure work-streams have clear owners and next steps.

  • Prepare leadership for meetings and decisions

    • Research and prepare briefing materials, pre-reads, slide decks, and talking points for internal meetings, partner conversations, and external engagements. Capture action items and follow up to close the loop.

  • Run ad hoc analysis

    • When leadership needs quick answers, dig into the data, structure the problem, and come back with a clear output. This might be financial, operational, or strategic depending on the week.

  • Help track company performance

    • Support visibility into OKRs, KPIs, and strategic goals across functions. Help build or maintain dashboards and reporting outputs that give leadership a clear and current picture of where things stand.

  • Evaluate tools and solutions

    • Research and assess new AI tools, software, or vendors being considered by the business. Produce structured evaluations with a clear recommendation.

  • Document and standardise processes

    • Where repeatable workflows exist but have not been written down, help create clear SOPs and internal playbooks, especially for AI and automation workflows where institutional knowledge needs to be transferable.

  • Support internal communications

    • Help prepare materials for All Hands meetings, leadership reviews, and company updates, including slide decks, one-pagers, and written summaries, that keep the team informed and aligned.

What you need to be successful:

  • You have experience with automation tools (n8n, Zapier, Make), LLMs, or AI workflow design. Evidence of prior projects, whether professional, academic, or personal, is welcome.

  • You are studying or have studied business, economics, finance, computer science, or a related field, or you have demonstrated through your own projects that you can work across these domains.

  • You are intellectually curious and comfortable moving between strategic thinking and hands-on execution.

  • You communicate clearly and concisely, in writing, in slides, and in conversation.

  • You take ownership of your work, manage your own time well, and do not need to be micromanaged.

  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and can prioritise effectively when multiple things are competing for your attention.

  • You have a genuine interest in fintech, digital assets, or the future of institutional finance.

  • You are fluent in English. German is a plus.

What’s in it for you:

This is one of the most high-exposure internship roles at Finoa. You will work directly with the CEO and senior leadership, get visibility into how strategic decisions are made, and contribute to initiatives that span the entire company.

If you are early in your career and want to understand how a fast-moving fintech operates from the inside, and leave with real skills in AI, strategy, and execution, this is the role.

  • Direct access to the CEO and senior leadership from day one.

  • Broad cross-functional exposure across Growth, Operations, Finance, and beyond.

  • Hands-on experience designing and implementing AI workflows in a real business context.

  • An experienced mentor to guide your development.

  • Flexible working hours and a hybrid work setup from our Berlin office.

  • Fitness membership and internal Crypto Academy.

  • Hot and cold drinks and snacks in the office, and All Hands meetings once a month with pizza.
